A great all around shark fly. This fly is also deadly in all black. You will notice I don't take much care in tying this fly. It's usually trashed after a shark gets a hold of it.

THE RECIPE
|
Tail: Orange Zonker strip,
Pearl Flashabou |
Body: Orange Marabou, palmered |
Head: Dan Bailey's body fur |
|
Hook: Mustad 3407SS |
Hook Sizes: 2/0, 3/0 |
|

STEP #1
|
Place a #1 mustad 34007 hook in your vice.
|
| Starting midshank, cover the hook with some flat waxed Orange thread |

STEP #3
|
Tie in one marabou plume at the base, in front of the zonker strip.

TYING TIP
|
Always coat the fly with Sally Hansen's hard as nails after each step. |

STEP #4
|
Now, palmer the marabou. After that is done, make sure you wrap just in front of the palmer to lay the marabou down
|

STEP #5
|
Tie in the Dan Bailey's body fur and palmer foward.

This is how the head should look after the palmer. Tie off and apply Hard As Nails and you're done!
