CATCHING BAIT
Truly, I can not explain this enough. During tarpon season, fresh LIVE mullet or LIVE Pilchards are the only way to go. Store bought mullet are banged up and less than frisky and pilchards are not even sold in stores. Sometimes there is no bait to buy or the mullet supplier is late or doesn't show up at all. Taking the extra time to catch fresh live mullet in the morning is absolutely necessary. It usually only takes 30 minutes or less. Some days more, some days less. What I do is add the time we spend catching bait to the end of the trip .If you foresee a problem with this, please let me know ahead of time

All trips depart at 7:30 AM unless another time is arranged. During tarpon season, we
could leave dock as early as 6:00 AM. We usually meet 15 to 30 minutes ahead of departure time.

Please let me know if you are bringing your own fishing gear.

If you are looking to catch a specific species, please let me know ahead of time. I will tell you if it is the right time of year for that species

Please be flexible on the type of fishing to be done. Some times certain weather patterns can change certain types of fishing for better or for worse.

If you have booked a 3 person charter, you must understand that poling around with 3 people is extremely difficult. Bonefishing with 3 people usually does not work. The draft of the boat changes drastically and it is hard to get where the bonefish/redfish are. One option might be to get another person and I will get another boat for charter. Each boat would have 2 people on it
